The snowmobile was invented by J.A. Bombardier in the early 20's. The first modern sled was invented by J.A. Bombardier in 1958. This sled was originally called the Ski-Dog, but a typographical error changed it to Ski-Doo. In the 60's and 70's there was over 150 brands of sleds, everything from lawnmower makers to regular mechanics. This site is dedicated to every brand of sled from Ski-Doo, Arctic Cat, Yamaha, Polaris, Rupp, John Deere and many others.
The sleds on this site are from just about every make and every model. The sled pictured to the right is a 76 Ski-Doo T'NT R/V 340. I collect vintage sleds and i currently own two vintage ski-doo's. I own a 1970 Ski-Doo Nordic 399E and a fully restored 1973 Ski-Doo T'NT Silver Bullet 340. I'll also include many pictures and info including my friend's 1979 Arctic Cat El Tigre 6000l/c-very fast machine!!!, many Rupps, early Polaris, Yamaha, Chaparell, John Deere, and many other brands that no longer exist.
